The CRC is always in need of various supplies to help us with our rehabilitation and education missions. A list of our ongoing needs can be viewed below. Donations are tax deductible and can be dropped off at the California Raptor Center during operating hours (9a-4p weekdays, 9a-12p Saturdays). You can also call the rehabilitation office at (530) 752-6091 to arrange drop-off.
Day-to-Day Needs - Material Goods
Recurrent Needs (things we use a lot of):
- Dish soap refills (e.g. Dawn)
- Hand soap refills (e.g. Softsoap)
- Paper towels
- Nitrile gloves - S, M, L
- Garbage bags (13 gallon kitchen bags)
- Zip ties (all sizes)
Facilities and Grounds:
- Garden hoses (prefer 50 ft or longer and made of rubber for durability)
- Power washer
- Molded plastic utility carts (example)
- Industrial shelves (example, example, example)
- Walkie-Talkies (prefer set of 6-8 with charger, long range) (example)
- Stone pavers
- Bypass loppers
- Anvil pruner
- Hand pruner
Rehabilitation:
- Kitchen scissors (for cutting meat)
Husbandry and Enrichment:
- Astroturf (preferred brand: Grassworx Astroturf Specialty Rolls 3' x 50')
- Pipe foam insulation, 3/4" thick
- Black, braided nylon rope 5/8" thick
- Falcon block perch (example)
- Large branches, logs, and tree stumps for perching
- Large rocks and boulders
- Water bowls and bath pans (example, example, example)
- Misting system for cages (example)
Office Supplies:
- Printer paper
- Postage stamps (Forever stamps preferred)
